COMPEL Training is excited to announce our next publishing opportunity in conjunction with Proverbs 31 Ministries. In September 2020, Proverbs 31 Ministries will publish a printed piece titled “Reminders That God is Still in Control” featuring devotions written exclusively by COMPEL members. This piece will contain between 30 and 45 devotions on the topics of anxiety, worry and stress. It will be promoted on all our ministry outlets and given to people who donate to Proverbs 31 Ministries.   More details found here.

WRITING CHALLENGE: Last day to submit for the annual devotion challenge!

COMPEL Training’s annual Encouragement for Today Devotion Writing Challenge kicks off on September 1, 2020, and ends September 25, 2020! In this challenge, every single COMPEL member is given the opportunity to practice their writing and have a chance for their devotion to be published on Proverbs 31’s Encouragement for Today which has over 1.5 million subscribers. Each year the COMPEL Leadership Team and hand selected members of a Devotion Review team will choose between 8 and 15 devotions to be published the following year. The number selected depends on how many publication-ready devotions that are submitted by our members. Below are all the details you need to know, but members will also receive all these details in email: Who can participate? ALL current COMPEL members are invited to participate in this challenge, women and men, regardless of tenure with COMPEL. Do not include a prayer, Truth for Today, Related Resources or Reflect & Respond questions (as you will see in the published EFT devotions). When does this challenge end? The deadline to submit devotions for consideration in this challenge is Friday, September 25, 2020. How will I know if my devotion is selected? We receive hundreds of submissions each year from our talented members, so it takes the COMPEL Leadership Team a couple months to review them all, depending on the number of submissions. Everyone who submits a devotion will receive an email once the winning devotions are selected, whether their devotion was selected for publication or not. How do I submit my devotion for consideration? To submit your devotion, please copy and paste the following information into the body of an email: The title of your devotion. Your full name....
